Default HOYT XT2000

Hey, fellas. Could someone tell me what "caliber" bow the Hoyt XT2000 is? Reason I ask is someone is selling one on the Navy Base Classifieds here all geared up, with a release, a dozen arrows, broadheads, vanes, fletching glue and a case for $250.00. Thought it might be a good bow for my son.

I could use some feedback. Don't know if it's a good deal or not. Any ideas?

I don't know if they hve a bow actually called the XT2000. I think it's referring to the type of limbs that it has and it could be any number of bows. I could be wrong. Anyway, anything hoyt makes is well built and sounds like a pretty good deal.

MO's correct, the XT2000 is just the limb configuration....they came out in 2000 if memory serves me correctly and it could be on a variety of makes/models. I had the 2000 Defiant with XT2000 limbs on it and then in 2001 I had the VorTec with XT2000 limbs on it.

The model should be on the side of the riser.

It's a good price depending on model and exceptional price depending on model and configuration of accessories.

Yep, just figured that out by using the international knowledge pool (GOOGLE). Shows how much I know about Hoyt.
Been trying to contact the guy to find out what model. Could be good... could be a bust. It's worth checking into, though.

Mo is correct check the riser. Hoyt had several models with the XT2000 limbs on them. I have a Razortec with them.

I'll pass on this one. He attached a photo, and thanks to the high resolution, I was able to zoom in and see DEFIANT on the riser. Also, I could see that it has a simple prong style rest and a cheap sight. Considering $250.00 seems to be an average price for this bow, and I'd want to replace the sight and rest, I think I'll just let someone else have it. Thanks for the repsonses, guys.

The Defiant is a VERY good bow. It's just several generations back on the technology curve. $250 is an overly optimistic asking price, unless that is an airline rated aluminum hard case.

Nope, Arthur. It's a Flambeau plastic case.

LC, The Defiant was top of the line in 2000 but now that's 7 years ago, $250 is steep for it...the XT2000 limbs carried for years, that's why I said depending on model.

I let mine go in $2001, a year old for $350...He shouldn't expect anything more than maybe $150 or less depending...
