2007 Rut predictions

RE: 2007 Rut predictions
Deer and Deer Hunting tv show explained that this years rut should trigger Oct 26. But then went on to say the rutis a 40 day process and not a 1 week 2 week event. I guess Oct 26-Nov 13 is the time to be in the woods. After that the bucks may be locked down. But thats just what the show said.........

RE: 2007 Rut predictions
IMO - weather patterns have more to do with "rut activity" than anything. A cold front moves in anytime during late October and Early to mid November and big deer will likely be on their feet. Our best time to see mature deer is generally between November 4th and the 15th. I'll be in the woods everyday regardless!

CT even my game cams get more bucks that last week of October and first week of November.
Then its like a light shuts them off until Jan in southern Wi.
I head up to Northern Wi every mid to late Nov for gun season and
it seems rut is done. Once exception was in 1998 when they were rut crazy opening weekend.

I have the same siuation as GMMAT.
I saw a 6 point locked down on a doeChristmas Eve 2006. There are so many does that the bucks have to chase for a long time to get them all.
