easton epic st or goldtip arrows?
LAst year, I got a 1/2 dozen epic st with blazer vanes. I love them, they shoot great, absolutely no complaints. This year I go back to order a dozen and they guy says for $3.00/dozen more he can sell me the goldtips 5575's. I know the goldtips are a very good arrow, but I rarely see any mention of the new epic st's. I like the slim arrow and I shoot a WB rest. The goldtips make a slight noise threw it because they aren't shiny smooth like the epic st's.
Do you think they will actually shoot any better? I can group those epic st's in a 1 inch group at 40 yards.
Any thoughts?

i shot epics up till this week(about full year) i tortured them poor arrows. the only ones ive broke are the ones ive shot. split a few with fieldpoints and the rest i hit with broadheads. good shootin arrows and seemed pretty danged durable to me. i just didnt like the lightness. for about 70$ i got a dozen carbon express select shafts(unfletched and full legnth) that are heavier(what i wanted..personal preferance) and have better tolerances...some say the better the tolerances the better they will shoot...we will see. out of a dozen epics i didnt have any i called "bad" or that flew differently or anything... if they weight more id be shooting them

I'll keep them I guess. The Goldtips are straighter, no doubt. But I've heard that when you shoot the difference in straightness is irrelevant as the arrow bends when shot. I dunno, or care, I just know I love my epic st's. I try not to get to technical, I believe in the KISS-Keep It Simple Stupid! system. I just thought if I could tighten my groups even better then I might try different arrows but it doesn't sound like I could get it better. Thanks for the advice.

The Epics seem to be a really good arrow for the money and I really like my XT Hunters. Which ever one you decide you like the best is what I would go with.
