note to self:
do not adjust anything on your bow in the middle of a 3D shoot. this morning we were on target 12 or 13 and i noticed my peep was twisted and i had a strand of sting in my eye(3 strand shurz-a-peep) so like always i twist my loop around to get it good..no biggie right. next target...WIFF way over its back. ranged it, 30..okkkk i gapped it between my 25 and 35...ahhh maybe i gapped it between 35 and 45? possible. dig arrow out of log, check it for cracks..good to go. next couple targets i kept shooting way high or over the targets..and flight was TERRRRRRIBLE. looked like it was corkscrewing...so bad that the blazers couldnt steer it. i looked and the nock was way high. noticably high...i couldnt really bring it down at all. looks like my center serving is shot. managed to loose 1 arrow and completely snap another..so now im left with 4 shafts that are beat up bad and all have bad fletching damage from me shooting them.
thankfully i got a dozen arrows and a gibblet string on the way or id be upset. im not even going to go through the troubles of retuning right now. no sense in retuning with shot up arrows and a bad string when i will have all new within about 2 weeks. might kill me not to shoot for about 2 weeks though..we will see
i did pull off a 231 with a ton of zeros. i was on fire up till the time i moved that loop..then after about 5 zeros i started shooting 30yd targets with my 20yd pin...it was pretty much dead on somehow..flight was TERRIBLE..but still got them in there to finish the round...
glad it happend now, not in the middle of the season

just stinks to be laid up probably 2 weeks till my string is here...
moral of the story? dont touch anything in the middle of a shoot or while hunting or anytime you dont have time and tools to get it done correctly!
