New Bow with short draw length

Well the season is winding down and I am already starting to think about next season. First I want to thank everyone for all the useful information I obtained from reading this board this year.

OK my question is what would be a good bow for me. I have looked at numerous websites and sporting good stores. I have a short draw length, 26-27" and it seems hard to find these. So I figure I will need to order one. So I am just looking for recommendations on what people think are good short draw length bows and if you also have a short draw length what do you shoot. Thanks in advance.

shoot em up man just loves to shoot em up!!!

Check out this webpage. It compares all the major bows. It'll show you which models offer draw lengths that will fit you.

I have a 28" draw length and I just got a Martin Phantom II. But you should try as many different bows as you can. Just be careful. (check my post "THE QUEST IS OVER")

KEEP IT LEGAL. KEEP IT SAFE. OR WE MAY NOT GET TO KEEP IT AT ALL.

seum, take a look at the BowTechs. With your draw, you should still be able to shoot a hunting weight arrow with plenty of speed. If that's important to you. They offer an extensive line of quality bows. The 2003s should be some of the best available. Good luck and good hunting.

Try several by going to a good proshop. Mathews has 7 models that go as low as 24 ". Bowtech and high country are good bets. Try them at a proshop as I do not recommend just buying long distance over the net!

I'll list some I'd check if I had your draw .

Mathews Q2
Parker Ultralite
Hoyt Havoctec
Bowtech Mighty Mite

Check them all and find for yourself what feels wright . Given that you will lose some speed with a shorter draw I think that mighty mite would be first on my list .

We all have different oppinions , if we did'nt the world would be a BORING place

I would really look hard at the CSS Swampmaster, I set up a 34" ata, 27.5" draw at 65# with a 425 grain PSE arrow. The bow shot at 270 fps and groups were outstanding. The bow was as quiet as his buddies new Legacy. Any questions just e-mail me. I live in Anderson In. so if your enterested in shooting one just send a note. I'll also be at the Deer&Turkey show in Indy in Feb. with the one of the owners of CSS Chuck Neice or Ed McPherson.

How about a Martin Altitude? I have one, liked it so much I bought another. 30 1/2" ATA with draw length adjustable from 24" - 29". Limbs are available in 5# increments if you ask. Both of my Altitude's are 65# bows. They are a very stable bow and shoot like a longer ATA bow because of the grip placement. They were new in 2002 and will be unchanged for 2003. I just bought the second one clearanced for $260, they will be selling back at $400 soon with a MSRP of $580.
