They make this sound like it's common. I have never heard of such a thing.

My friends dad's coworkers boy shot an antlered deer this gun season in MO. Only it had both male and female reproductive organs. I'm not sure if it could spread it genes or give birth but it had both.

I read about it in a deer biology book many years ago also. It isn't common.

Believe it or not it happens from time to time. Usually an antlered does rack is small and gnarly looking. Its not something you are gonna see everyday but it happens more often than you may think. I actually have a friend who killed a antlered doe when we were in high school.

Cause your a newbie to our forums, Welcome. We discuss this every year for years now. Seems at least one is shot each year.

Stick around, lots to learn and share in these parts. Welcome again.

This is more common than people think. I know of at least 2 cases where people shot antlered does this year in Missouri alone. One was a five pointer which Mo-Bow stated about, and the other was I believe a 24 point doe. If there is 2 cases in MO I'm sure other states go through the same thing every year as well.

It happens. Every year. I have seen it first hand. That's why most deer tags are labeled "Antlered" and "Anterless" instead of "Male/Buck" and "Female/Doe."

And if it were to get pregnant, would the father have been a gay buck?

It's been quite a while ago, but I remember a magazine (possibly North American Whitetail) that had an article about an antlered doe than made P&Y and weighed somewhere around 200lbs! It was a beaut and would've made a good mount.
