Default got my first w/ bow..small fork horn

Shot this little guy last night 4 days before the end of the season. Not a huge fan of shooting small bucks, but wanted to notch one on the bow and get one in the freezer. Was in a 15' ladder stand on the edge of a 40 yd wide small winter wheat field wedged between a stand of pines and some swampy hardwoods. I was on the pine side. He slipped in underneath my stand literally. Because he was walking on pine tags rather than dry leaves, I never heard him walking. In fact I heard him munching on shoots and twigs before I heard any steps...pretty wild. He walked straight away fromme and never turned broadside until he was 30 yds. This is my second yr bowhunting (my first was 1993!) I probably could not have been succesful if it were not for the help I received here...So thanks very much....

Congrats on the first bow kill! That buck resembled the fork horn that I saw tonight.
