Default Found Dead Buck...pics

I found this guy while tracking ny buddies doe he shot. It looks like he was bedded down and just got his rack stuck in the y of the low branch. I was kinda bummed to see this. He looked like he was struggling to get out for a while, notice how the dirt is kicked away!
Well, I hated to just see this guy rot away so I went to the Warden station and asked if I could take the head. They took my name and info in case of any questions. I will put his skull and crazy rack on my full body mount I'm getting done with my Blonde Coyote I shot a few weeks back with my bow. I put it at the Coyotes feet. I guess it will give him a little respect like he deserves!

Thats a sad sight, its always bad to see how cruel mother nature is sometimes, atleast he will be forever remembered as part of your coyote mount!

Thats a low branch on a tree! It looks like he just was bedded and got his rack stuck, as far as I could tell. He struggled pretty good to get out. Alot of wear on the rack and the ground around him.

Hate to see that. I wondering how long he actually hung in there before he died.

That's a shame. It's make you wonder why they are so hard to kill sometimes if they die getting their heads stuck in branches.

A friend of mine had found one like this once after 2 deer were fighting and the one he found had an antler stuck under a root. He was still alive and was there for a couple of days. So that one was shot and tagged, a few more days and it would of been dead for sure. It is always a sad thing when this stuff happens but, from time to time it does.
