Default Back to back opening nights!

Well, Another evening hunt on the 1st of October did it for me again. Im hunting in a low bottom where a two track connect two cornfields andhardwords surrounds all.I hunted the same stand that early morning though I did not see anything. I decided to check it out for the night hunt. It was a beautiful night but the only thing making noise around me was squirrels. Around 7:30pm a buck sneaked in thatI did not hear at all. He was about 20 yards whenI first saw him.

He walked behind a tree soI made my move to get up. As he walked behind another tree I pulled back my hoyt vtech and just waited for him to takea few more steps into my lane.I gave him a nice baa and let the arrow fly. He is my first buck(6 point)and my 2nd deer. At first I thought I hit low but it happened to be a double lunger and clipped the heart.Like to thank all the knowledged hunters on the board sinceI have learned everything from this site (no one in my family hunts) Now that I have my first buck under my belt its time to get out there and get a bruiser. Its snowing here in michigan!! Im hitten the woods GL all

congrats! Got my 4th deer with a bow last Saturday. This bowhunting is so more enjoyable than gun! I have had more success in the early season with archery than any other method of hunting. Luv It!!!!!!!!!!
