Default Does shooting from the deck simulate tree stand shooting????

Hey all,
This is my first year bow hunting. I was wondering if shooting from a deck which is about 12 ft off the ground and then down a hill which is about another 10 feet down.
In essence it is about 20-25 feet in the air. Would this be a good simulation of shooting from a tree stand? I just got a deer target today and wantthe most realistic practice situation possible. Thanks for your comments and suggestions.

It's a heck of a good start, that's for sure.

I shoot off my deck all the time, for that same reason. Of course, if you want the ultimate real-life simulation, then you need to put up your stand and pull your bow up and take some shots from up there.

Its a pretty good start i mean your 20 to 25 feet above your target and your shooting at an angle.
When I started many years ago I use to get on top of my garage ( Foxworthey Style ) and shoot.
Now I'll go thru the trouble of putting a stand in my tree about 25ft up and practice practice practice.

Thats perfect. Now all you need is some ground hogs to start milling around below you.

Yes have to agree with most of the rest, it is a good start! I am lucky at Fort Drum the old site where they use to give the post shooting test has towers so I can go at lunch and get the hang of it for the season!
