Default carbon arrow split ?

I know that if your shaft splinters , it would be dangerous to use . I have a couple of arrows that have a small fracture right at the nock . They seem harmless there . I'm not even sure how long I've been shooting them like that ( with the fracture ) . Can I put some glue on them and forget about it ? Or do I have 3 trashed arrows ? Thanks . If it matters - they are GoldTip Hunter 5575

Those arrows are too dangerous to shoot. They could explode during any shot.

Do you by any chance use the screw in nocks that Gold Tip provides?

Yeah , I was afraid of that . I really like these arrows . As for a screw in nock ,,,, maybe thats what that small metallic thing is . I hadn't seen that on any of my other arrows . Oh well , I guess I have 3 new pens . Thanks guys , my hands will remain safe .

Are they camo coated? cause they "wrap" the camo on and it leaves a seam near the nock that looks like a fracture, i thought mine had the same thing. But if you pull the nock out and lock at the cross-sectionof the shaft it is not fractured. But be careful, i shoot mine still.

The small metallic thing is actually a screw you screw in with the allen wrench provided in the package. I quickly replaced the nocks when I realized that the screws put extra pressure on the nock end of the arrow.

I'll bet that allen wrench "thingie " was putting too much pressure on the shaft . These are a camo wrap ,, witch hides little breaks really easily . You'd better check yours ,,, tonight was arrow cleaning night ,, I may have shot these untill I got hurt .

If you had any idea how much energy is transfered to the back of that arrow and what it does when it launches you would not even think about shooting one with crack in the nock end. I would rather have a crack in the tip then the nock.
