RE: Any other nutty hunters...
I got lucky this year and got some land close to home to hunt on. I still take a 3 hour drive every rifle season to go hunt with one of my brothers (still no luck hunting with him yet), but don't have that far of a drive when hunting the rest of the season. I do get up around 4 am most days I go out to make sure I'm in the stand at least an hour before sunrise. I'd say I'm a nutty hunter too.....I go out no matter what the weather looks like. Last year I went out and it was so cold my gatorade froze solid in the first two hours, didn't see any deer that day, but still enjoyed being out there. I've hunted in the rain, snow, and winds blowing around 30 mph, and the wife doesn't know why I do it.

Wake up, shower, get dressed, get bow, walk out backdoor, check wind. Either I walk to stand or get in my boat and take the ricer route. Thank god my mom re-married. My Step Dad has a ton of land!!! Way to go MOM
