Default Holding out for him

Well, I took this week off to hunt the last week of the PA archery season and have been seeing deer every day. I've passed up a small seven pointer on Monday and a small six pointer yesterday. Anyways, I checked my game cameras and was really suprised to see this guy. Needless to say this is the one I'm after now. This is a real dandy for my area. Hopefully I'll be able to post a picture of him with my Patriot later this week.

Enjoy,

Brian

I'm not so sure those trail cams are a good idea. You could have shot the seven point and been happy as can be. Now you have a goal that you might not reach........

Good luck just the same.

I know from experience that bowhunting is 10 times more challenging when you single out a particular buck to hunt. However, although you may go empty handed a few years, when and if you ever connect on a buck that you single out, it would be an awesome accomplishment. Quality over quantity is my moto, that could be why I havent killed a deer in almost 4 seasons . I'd be happy just to geta doefor the freezer about now. Good luck either way!

I know what you mean PABowhunter with a bow, it is a very hard task but it can be done. It happened to me this morning, I missed the biggest buck by far I have ever shot at with a bow. A damn hard pill to swallow. But theres no way I'm giving up. Bear Bryant said the definition of luck is when preperation meets opportunity. I admire that kind of hunting PABowhunter. Good luck man.

If you're like me, new to bowhunting, any deer is a good deer. I don't plan to start trophy hunting until I have 15+ kills with my bow under my belt. As far as I'm concerned, any deer with a bow is a trophy, but good luck getting the one you want. Looks like a nice one.
