Default Question about bow string problem

Have a problem with my new Parker Pheonix, seems the string is wearing awfull fast where the string and thte slider on the cable guard meet. Is the string the problem?, any suggestions would be appreciated thanks

Sunds like you have some contact somewhere .....

Just check it out and find the spot where its making a tight contact.. then holler back..

Another question, is your string served where your taking about the were, you might fix it by serveing it ..

sounds to me like your cable slide is tearing up your string and cable. some of them will do that. your string and cable aren't touching are they?

No, its just wearing where the string slides thru the cable guide, cant serve this area....any suggestions?

You might want to try a different slider. They are pretty cheap to replace. Basspro stock a couple. A new slider will cost alot less than a new set of strings and cables but my guess is that the OEM stuff on a Parker are probably not the greatest anyway. I found my Reflex strings pretty poor quality.
