New Satellite Expandable Broadheads
These look like an awesome design... Anyone try these yet? It looks like a totally new design from what I've seen of other expandables... The cutting surface is always open, they just open further upon impact... They claim 30% less energy to open, which should help penetration...

The were the worst mechanical broadhead I have ever tested. erratic flight, and not very durable at all. The blades were also pretty dull. If you like the features the had has, check out the Rocky Revolution, it works close to the same way, but is much more accurate, sharper and stronger.

5-Shot, thanks... I didn't realize you had tested these, but I see them now on your website...
I guess that answers one question...
I'm now debating between the Rocky Revolution and the NAP mechanical... Which would you suggest? I'm planning on dropping the weight on my bow some - not sure of exact KE, but I should be around 50 ft-lbs after dropping the weight. I roughly calculated it based on my current set-up at 59 ft-lbs, but I'm not sure on exact speed and weight. I'm shooting a Mathews Q2 - 29" draw at 73lbs. with ICS400 arrows. I plan to drop the weight on my bow to 62-65lbs. so I won't have excess KE with this set-up... What do you think? Will that be sufficient to shoot mechanicals or should I go with fixed blades? Which mechanical would be best for that set-up? Thanks in advance! Your broadhead testing is great information to have!

If you do drop your bow weight I believe the best two heads for you to shoot would be the Rocky Snyper or The Rocket Steelhead. I would not rule out a good fixed blade heads as well. With a well tuned bow, quality head, and good helical fletching fixed blade heads can be very accurate.
