Default 3D Targets @ Wal-Mart

My local Wal-Mart is carrying the McKenzie LDR175 WT Buck 3D target for $80. Has anyone used it? How does it hold up to broadheads? Is it hard to remove the arrows? http://w ww.mckenziesp.com/target_store/catalog_product.asp?ProductFamilyID=%7BFAD551D5%2D CB7A%2D46F2%2D9BB0%2DC72971F46B07%7D&mscssid=M5HA1 3PJU8SQ8GH3TBKF5Q62XLJGC10E
They also have a 3D Deer for $50 online, but I haven't seen it in stores. Here's the link... http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...oduct_id=19536 56&cat=79362&type=21&dept=0&path=0%3A4125%3A4155%3 A79362
I think it may be a BlueRidge http://www.outlandsports.com/bluerid...hery%20Targets

I bought one of them several years ago (Monster Whitetail 3-D Target 73000). It has held up great. The arrows are easy to remove, and arrow holes outside the vital replacement area fill back in good. I would only use field points on it. A few things that I may suggest if you do get the BlueRidge is to keep it out of the weather (put in your garage) this will make it last a lifetime. Also, when you replace the vital area, put a few dime drops of silicone caulk on it. This will keep the vital area in when you pull your arrows. The replacements never seem to fit tight.

yeah
I shot my buddies 3d deer McKenzie and its an awesome target. I love the thing. It breaks down to store anywhere. and holds up awesome against both field points and broad heads. The wholes fill it after you take the arrows out. There awesome . Yeah man get that target.

I saw both those targets at Wal-Mart. One of the things I've seen on those 3d's is the price on the replacement vitals vary considerably and none of the Wal-Marts I've been in has had them. Does anybody know what the replacement vitals sell for in these two targets?

I purchased the McKenzie WT Buck target from Wally world a few weeks ago & am very disappointed by the lack of durability. The material in the vitals seems "dry" & doesn't even attempt to close up after arrow removal. After less than 1000 shots (w/fld pts/no brd hds!) I'm shootin plum thru the 10 ring. Contrary to other posts here I don't recommend this target at all & I certainly will never buy another one.

BTW, does anyone here know if a standard "medium deer" McKenzie midsection will fit the WT target?

It looks like my link is broken. Go to

http://www.mckenziesp.com/target_store

Type "WT" in the Product Search field and hit enter. Click on the resulting link. At the bottom of the resulting page is the link to the new core. It doesn't look like it's the same as the others, but it's $25.95 from them.

No, not the core...of course the standard McKenzie 3D deer targets don't have any core, you have to replace the entire midsection. I'd like to replace the midsection of my WT target w/a standard one if it'll fit. The WT is a 3 pc "interlocking" target (not counting the replaceable core) & the pcs really look a lot like the standard medium deer to me, but I don't have the standard one here for absolute comparison. Any one know for sure?
