Default Bushnell YArdage Pro 500DX

I just bought more stock in Cabela's. I ordered the Bushnell Yardage Pro Range Finder. It was hard to decide to spend the money.

I am interested in the experiences others have had with these units.

The Bushnell rangefinder is one of the most worthy gifts I have EVER recieved. It has been through everything with me. I was able to get precise yardage on my Antelope hunt a couple days ago. It saved the hunt and double as binoculars because they do magnify the objects slightly. Runs forever on two AA batteries, auto shut off, work well in the rain. I always take mine and they are always swinging from my neck. You wont be disappointed. They are better than the Nikon series because they pick up and read the distance much quicker. My rangefinder does work to 800yds. GOOD HUNTING!

Thwap I have a couple questions for you.
1. Are they easy to learn to use?
2. Do they ciome with any kind of carrying case?

Mine is due to be delivered on 8/22/02 and I leave for elk camp on the 31 st; so it doesn't allow me much time to become proficient.

If you read the instructions you can have them figured out in ten minutes. They are very simple. The batteries do seem to last forever. You won't be disappointed.

Being a retired architect, I am a stickler for reading and following instructions . . . at times it can be problem and may be a character flaw.

My 500DX arrived today and is impressive. I would have preferreda munimum range of less that 20 yards but anything less than that is almost a gimmie anyway.

I am indeed impressed and pleased with my purchase.
