RE: Gorilla stands
Hey lemond33, we have lots of stands in the woods on our property. Gorilla, Big Foot, Baby Grand, and some home made models from a welder friend. I have to say the Gorilla and Baby Grand have been the most durable and most comfortable. The advantage to them is the cushion on the seat is removable, where the big Foot XL stands have a wooden base and a cushion sewed right to them. Went out this weekend and two of the Big Foot stands didn't have seats anymore, something ate right through the wood base! Cant go wrong with the Gorilla in my book!

RE: Gorilla stands
I have one and I'm pretty happy with it. The platform sqweeks every once and a while which I don't like at all for bowhunting, but it's not bad. I'll let you know when the temps get down to 20 or so. That's the real test. I own 3 Rivers Edge and I wouldn't hesitate to get another one. They are quiet from 70 all the way down to way below freezing. I'm pretty happy with those.

RE: Gorilla stands
2 Friends of mine (brothers) have an outfitting business here in IA. All they use are the Gorilla stands. They love them. The are easy to set and rock solid. Pretty comfy too.

RE: Gorilla stands
Gorillas are probably my stand of choice. If you combine a gorilla stand with climbing sticks, you have a rock solid stand that will set up in about ten minutes.
