I heard the most expensive bow ever made was called the "yankoskously" it was made in China & actually has part made out of gold!? If your talking about expensive bows that people can actually afford I would look into Mathew's or Hoyt's prices. (not to sure what there prices are?) The best bow in my opinion is the Bear Carnage.

Don't know about the best but as far as most expensive. I would say the Hoyt Carbon Element, or Carbon Express and the Mathews Monster Safari, they all sell for over 1000 for a bare bow.

There's no such thing as the best.AFAIK the Hoyt carbon riser jobs are the most expensive.Ive yet to see any "top of the line" product of any type made that was actually the best.

I believe the prices of bows are really stretching what the public will bear. True there is a lot of R&D that goes into producing lighter, faster bows but the prices are really elevating. As for the best bow - I am sure you will get a lot of opinions on this. And the two (price/best) do not go hand-in-hand. What is the best for yo might not be the best for me. And speaking of me, my personal preference is the Martin line. I like the Firecat and love the Cheetah. To me its plenty smooth, fast, quiet, and accurate. And most important, I can shoot it very well.
