Most bows are good now a days. I have not shot either but i have heard good things about G5. My advice would be to try a few different shops and shoot a bunch of bows, Have fun and take your time shopping for a new bow can be alot of fun. Good luck.

I have a G5 Quest31 and love it. It's not the fastest bow out there, but its dang smooth drawing and that's why I fell in love with it.

As far as Bass Pro goes, I bought a bow there once and will never do it again. I was at the store in Springfield, MO, and they just didn't have enough time for me. It took HOURS to get my bow set up and they didn't give me the attention that I would have gotten from a local shop. I bought my G5 local, and I'm happy with my choice. (as an added note, G5 sent me a $50 rebate check since I work in the automotive industry. They also have the same program for those in the military)

I personally like Bear Archery better. I would say check out the Attack or Carnage... the Strike bow is good also. Just my 2 cents... lol

I posted a used mathews switchback for sale in the classifieds, I don't know what your draw length is but I have it listed as a complete set up or bare bow.
