Smile Youth hunting bow

I'm 14 and I'm looking for a youth compound bow for hunting deer and more. But I'm on a buget of around 400 or less. I have found the diamond razor edge by bowtech. But I was wondering what everyone else thinks. Thanks!

I've heard good things about that bow. I would go to the archery shop and shoot a few in your price range. Many of todays bows are highly adjustable, so you may be able to get an adult bow depending on how big you are. Someone once told me you don't pick the bow, the bow picks you. I believe that. When you pick up and shoot the right one, your gonna know it. Good luck in your search.

That is a pretty good bow...also check out the Mission Menace. My wife shoots one and loves it. Will be a good hand-me-down when kids come along as well. It is a great shooting little bow...very adjustable and easy to do.

Can't beat the razor's edge in price for what it offers in adjustment as you grow taller and stronger. I think you would be happy with one.

The Diamond line by Bowtech is their old technology. Their new technology is dangerous, so i recommend that you steer clear of any products made by Bowtech. They made a General, that was recalled. Rumor says it killed an owner in California. Mine came apart and gashed my arm. The company no longer makes this bow, but once they produce a product of this nature, you have to wonder about all the other "junk" they are distributing.

I would look at a used bow if your on a budget. Especially if it is for a young adult that will grow out of it. A good used bow will be less that the Diamondback and perform much better in the long run. Sorry, but I had to give you the Bowtech info. so that you know the heightened risks involved if going with that product.

The mission is made by Mathews and I have heard nothing but great reviews. This could be a good option for you.

Default Youth Bows

My Stepson has a Bear Odyssey II and my wife has a Bear Apprentice....both are great bows priced better than most of the competition. Both have are highly adjustable for draw length and poundage. 15in-27 and 20-50lbs will surely fit your needs.

I got the apprentice with 3 pin sight, quiver, WB Rest, 3 Victory arrows complete with field tips, wheel peep, string loop, stabilizer AND 3 broadheads for $279 Shipped!

I just went to my local bowshop with the same requirements for my 13 year old son.
He recommended the Mission Maniac or the Mission UX2. Both have a draw length adjustability from 22" to 30" without changing any cams. They also have about a 25 pound adjustability on the weight of pull. I haven't decided which one to get him yet.
He is selling the UX2 for $325 and the Maniac for $425. I think they are at least worth looking at. Good luck on your decision.
