A different climbing stick
Hey guys I have been all over different hunting forums and have been reading about guys who have had their stands stolen for whatever reason. A buddy of mine has come up with a new climbing stick with removable steps. It is really cool and I have seen it. Check it out at www.eioutdoors.com. Let me know what you think.

RE: A different climbing stick
I'd really like to see this, but when I attempt to open it says unauthorized.
EDIT: Well, after an internet search, I finally found the site entry that worked. They look well built, but for me there is no advantage over removable EZY Climb steps. There might be for some guys out there though. The owners need to also figure out if it is 18 feet or 16. The website says 16, they say 18 in their promo video. [&:] Not to mention, I almost choked when I saw the $180 price point. [:-]

RE: A different climbing stick
If I were to leave my stand in the tree then I would just take my climbing sticks with when I left. They are as easy for me to reattach to the tree as it would be reattaching those steps to the sticks.

RE: A different climbing stick
This is definitely not a product that will be found in "Wal-Mart" type hunting stores. Seems like a good investment if it can protect my new loc on. I am looking forward to trying a set this fall. The steps look wider than the ezy steps. Once I put screw in steps in and out a couple of times, they get slack or wobble. How do you fix that? (without making new holes in Oaks ) I like the idea of not having to put straps on in the dark with these -Just carry out the steps, not the sticks.

No thanks, I could replace multiple sets of sticks for that kind of dough.
