I shot it a few weeks back and yes its tough for me to pull back also. Im having a heck of a time trying to decide which bowtech to buy. So many bows not enough money!!! ive got it narrowed down to the general and the guardian. I may just flip a coin

I have shot the Allegiance since 05 with the speed mods in 06 and 07. I have both the 82 and the 101 and I honestly don't think the draw is much different. Make sure the draw length is right. Drawing a draw length that is any longer will make it feel tougher. Both have a nice valley that allow me to anchor solid, and that'sthe most important thingto me. Your muscles (or at least mine always have) soon become accustomed to a Different draw cycle.

Ive been shooting one since Jan the draw has a small hump to get over but after that nothing its nothing to it, i personally dont think its tough or maybe harsh, i shoot 63lbs 395gr hunting arrow at 298, if you choose this bow you will love it

i thought the draw on the 101 was very smooth. Didn't feel harsh to me at all.

I bought on in Dec. and liked it over the other good ones, Hoyt and Mathews. I thought that it had a very smooth draw, but I will tell you that it is wicked. What I mean is that if you catch yourself getting comfortable with the 80% let of and creep forward, it will take off on you. During the first 1 month, I was worried, but now it only happens ~2 times out of 150 shots. Might be a combination of my muscles tuning and I shorted my draw length by 1/2 ". After 3 months, I wouldn't trade it for the world. I ordered the smooth mods for hunting. I will let you know how I like them. I had a blast with this bow at my first ever competition, 3d. With my last bow, I was horrible. With this bow, I took a money pot at 43 yards by hitting a ping pong ball twice, but the first time it was on the arrow and the second it glanced. I shot a 295/300 on paper at 20 yards and 293/360 3d. Not sure how good this is but it feels really good to me. There were about 30 shooters and I was told that the typical average is ~280 at this club on 3d so I guess that i was just above average. Distance was not a problem at all. Furthest was 47 yards. I had the most problem with the 0-10 yard targets. I could not believe that you had to use your ~60-70 marks for the ~5 yard target. Needless to say that I did not score well at all at this range. What a blast. If you decide to spend the money on one of the speed bows, I am positive that you will love it.

It is the best design so far, yet I still hit my vanes ~1 out of 4 times. I know this because without moleskin or teflon, you can see a smudge from the vane. I think you'll find out why some including myself have mole skin on the launcher. The teflon that they give you will tear off. It really isn't affecting my shot though. Today I shot 44/60 Xs on my third game for a 297/300 and I don't shoot leagues and I have only shot once per week with this bow since December. I really don't think that you will find a better one for this speed bow.
