Default 4in vanes vs blazers

I need some help deciding what vanes to use. right now I shoot a Hoyt Trykon at 57# and will be using grim reaper and slick trick broadheads. The arrows that im shooting are easton st epic 400s w/ 28 inch length and 4 inch vanes. I would like to try to fletch my own arrows but when I bought a bohning jig and bohning 4 inch feathers my new shots were way off from what they used to be. I was wondering if it was easier to fletch blazers or if I might be doing something wrong. And would it be better to switch to the blazers or stick with 4 inch vanes? Thank you for your info and advice

I'm a blazer man. Switched from 4" vanes to blazers. Thats when I realized how bad 4'' vanes suck.

I shoot Blazers and 100 grain SlickTricks out of a Mathews Swithback XT at 60 lbs and they fly like darts.I have fletched 4 inch vanes and feathers and 5 inch feathers and the Blazers fly better and are very durable.
