I owned an Oneida years ago. It was fast, smooth and accurate but it was also noisy, heavy and awkward. Shoot one before you spend the cash. As with living in AK, there's not much middle ground; you either love it or hate it.
Never shot one myself but last year at a 3-D shoot there was a guy shooting one, I coule hear him shoot even a few targets ahead of me. I hear they shoot nice, but you might as well buy a rifle cause thats what they sound like going off.
My old manager used to shoot an Oneida. The one he had was prehistoric. I always joked with him that if he missed the shot, the deer would fall over due to the sound waves.
