THe deer behind my house didn't really care for thedeer cane, but put out some Buck Grub, or mossy oaks biologic hot spot and they demolish the ground.

I tried deercane a few years ago. Worked great and got all of the deer hooked. Next thing you know the dealers start moving. With the dealers came the crime. Now I have wardens patroling my property 24/7. I'll neveruse that stuff again.

I've had good luck with it but in alot of spots that I put out in late summer/early fall, it wasn't touched till the next year. I don't think they have any use for it come October but they will tear it up in the summer! ( I use the powder form).

What type of soil makes a difference also. A harder clay soil is the best. I have some spots that have been out now for 3 years and there's an area the size of a truck bed tore up.

Default Deer Cane

Last year I scraped up a 2 foot area and mixed up 1/2 the concentrate bag and 2 weeks later mixed up the other 1/2 bag. Put it out next to a corn pile. Got several deer visiting on camera and while in the stand. Didn't make a kill. Hadn't been back since season ended, stopped by yesterday...WOW!! It is now a 5 foot circle dug down about 9 inches. Set up another location today, hope to get the same results.
