Default Cabela's Lazer Pro Mag Broadheads

Anyone shooting the Cabela's Lazer Pro Mag or Mini Lazer Pro broadheads? A friend new to bowhunting bought them and I don't know what to tell him?? Maybe I'll send one to 5-Shot for a test. You still find the time 5-Shot?

My experience with them is limited. I bought them one year because they are half the cost of others and replacement blades are even cheaper. I killed a doe that year. Double-lung--she went about 30 yards. Gave them to my sister last year. She was shooting 35 lb bow. Shot and killed a 150lbs doe. They are not as smooth or pretty as some but so far I've seen that they give similar results for a lot less money.

I have not tried any, but if you would like to send one for testing I would be glad to run it through for you. Most people that have tried them seem to like them. I am betting they are a decent head, not great, but not bad.

My father has used them for about 10 years now. He doesn't have any problems with them. He acually uses the mini-mags. He has taken down 5 Elk and about 15 deer with them.

I am shooting the Cabelas Lazer Supreme which is the 'deluxe' version of the Lazer Pro Mags. They both use the same blades but a different retaining system: o-rings vs. a locking collar.

My only major complaint about them is that the replacement blades I ordered were less than razor sharp right out of the box. Pretty disappointing, especially if you compare them to the blades on a Thunderhead. I guess you get what you pay for.
