Electronic red dot sights?

I was looking at a mounting bracket for a red dot sight on a website. I happen to have one ( Bushnell ) that I use occasionally on a shotgun. The thing is on a shotgun or any other firearm the site is permanently mounted to the reciever and therefor the bore line. It seems to me on a bow that the anchor point and the grip are in theory the "bore line" of the bow. So, does the red dot actually stick to its point of aim just like a firearm, because if it does this could be a very quick and forgiving sighting system. On a gun even if your head is not properly aligned but the dot is on target your good to go. Also would you eliminate the peep site with this setup? Anybody use one?

Ive got one on both the bows that i have. Bebore you buy, make sure it is legal in the states your going to hunt (during archery season). The red dot helps with consistent form, also elimanates peep and kisser, helps alot if you have issues in low light. Love mine. I went with a 42mm, that way i have the whole deer in the scope. I believe most of the red dots are not parallax free, meaning you have to make sure the dot is set up ( at your anchor) in the center of the scope. Inventive tech just came out with a 42mm that i belive has a 3moa dot and crosshair, the one i have has a 5mm dot.

If you have time, I can post a message over on the Oneida forum and ask the advantages and disadvantages of red dots. Alot of guys over there shoot red dots, including me. I haven't put more than 200 shots through my bow with the red dot on it, so I can't really tell you everything about it. I can ask anything else you'd like to know. So, just tell me and I'll make a post.
