Default Muzzy's Bowfishing Reel

I am going to be using Muzzy's bowfishing reel this year for gator's, but I am lost with the directions on how you cut the canister to allow the line to come out to the big float. I know they make a big game one that is a little different, but they say in the instructions that you can just cut the canister on the regular one and it will work the same. If anyone has used this one before I would love some tips.

Muzzy's bowfishing reel?

Do you mean a Retriever Reel?

Try contacting AMS to see if they can help you. I use a regular retriever reel. I haven't tried modifying it at all.

Hey Bigboar.

The reel itself has to have a slot cut through the side. The line comes out the back of it and ties to the float. The Retriever has an available kit to change it to a Slotted-Retriever. I don't think you can just modify it. If I'm wrong, someone correct me.
