Default Recurve question

I have a recurve I am wanting to turn into a bowfishing set up, but I have one problem. The bow isn't tapped out for a stabilizer or bow rod. Has anyone ever tried to tap a recurve out themselves, would it hurt the bow, and how would I go about doing it?

Default RE: Recurve question

try using a gadget adaptor, found at www.sullysbowfishing.com in the reel seat sections. they work great without tapping.
