Default Photo - My bowfishing rig.

I post a bunch of Bowfishing pictures with a differant post. I though I'd stick a photo of my boat I use. Its nothing to fancy, a 1648 jon boat. I built the platforms out of 1" steel tubing and the knee railings are aluminum. I can take both the front and back platforms off in 6 minutes flat! I also like fishing Smallmouth on the Mississippi River.

In Minnestoa we can't shoot at night. The higher platforms help us see fish further. I shoot a 70 lb. Parker UL31 with A bowfishing whisker Biskit and a AMS Retreaiver Reel.

Go once.......and you won't be able to stop.......until maybe deer season!!

Good Luck!

Sweet set up, the Mississippi by St Cloud is a blast for Smallies. I used to sneak down to the river near the interstate by McStop and catch some beauties!!!

Good thing you read the regs before getting out and trying it...

Looks like an awsome rig!

Nice hook up! Do you go down any smaller rivers? I'm in Michigan and have a rig (Not quite as ellaborate), but we go on smaller rivers. We shoot suckers, carp, gar pike...you know the junk fish

I taken that boat up several creeks. It goes thru 6 inches of water, need about 12" to run the trolling motor. It was a good rig! Was........I just sold it! I was thinking about a bigger rig, one I can shoot 5 or 6 people off of at a time. This boat really did a good job, but a 72 " base boat is rock solid stable. It will be a fun project over the winter.

Good Luck!
