Default Another Question

I was just curious about something. I'm not working at the moment so it might be awhile before i can get the right equiment. Is there some type of an 'poor man's set up' I can do in the time being? Any suggestions will be most helpful so thank you in advance.

ive seen guys use a tin can taped to their bow, some heavy line, and an arrow. but you can get a nice shoot thru or drum reel for under $20......and they work fine. still need some heavy line and a arrow, but the whole set should be under $50.
check www.sullysbowfishing.com theres an online cat. there.

hmmm....i dont know bout that one. the arrow is the most important part of your set up, you need the weight of a fiberglass shaft to penetrate the water. if your talkin about drilling a alum shaft behind the broadhead, i dont think it would be too safe, weakening the arrow and all. ive seen some shoot at fish close on the shoreline, with no line, and run to grab the pinned fish, never tried it though. i would say the fishing arrow is the only thing you dont want to make up.

You can get a setup for about 20 bucks at some sportshops, reel line arrow and head, i take cheap fishing arrows and make my own slides with wire ties and a barrel swivel, juse put a dab of epoxy on a wire tie at the nock and wire tie a barrel swivel on for a slide.
