Default Crap Shooting through the ice?

Anybody ever try carp shooting through the ice? Looking for some ideas to find the carp and make a decent shoot through the ice...

That does not sound fun. Wouldn't you have to get the arrow back out of the ice? That sounds hard.

Default Spear Hole

Cut a big hole with a saw and shoot them like your spear fishing. I dont know how you would locate them in the winter though

in wisconsin, when there is an open spot in the ice carp will come to it and suck air. there could be a couple to every fish in the lake or river at this spot. this mostly happens in late winter when we have had a couple of warm spells. some guys walk the edge of the ice, some go out in wadders, and some push jon boats out.

I have wanted to try cutting a whole in the ice and sit in a shack and wait but have never found the carp in the winter any other way.
