Default bowfishing slingshot/ possible?

I was browsing youtube yesterday and saw a man put an improvised arrow rest on a slingshot. This was meant to be a means of taking big game with it in a survival situation.

So it got me thinking....Could it be done? Has it been done?
your thoughts?

chief AJ shot a buffalo with his slingshot at the Illinois state bow fishing tournament in june. I bought one of his sling shots but so far have not tried to use it. I have been told that i got the wrong rubber bands as mine is real slow. It is a pretty cool set up tho..

What do you qualify as big game? Deer sized and bigger?
That'd be ridiculous with a slingshot!
