Default Boat is coming along!

Got a Barrel fixed up for it.

FINALLY finished wiring up my 6 150 HPS lights, complete with a remote ballast box...based completely off of Desperado's version, thanks buddy for all the help.

Bow is setup with an arsenal of arrows for the whole summer.

Last and actually most important, my distant cousin is coming over to price a deck for me, he is an aluminum welder and should be pretty decent on his charges. Im having one made 12-15" off the gunnel, not sure on just how high yet.

Pics to come tomorrow or Friday, Im tired right now![&:] I'm anxious to see people's thoughts on my ballast box and how I rigged up the lights. They are less than half of their original weight of around 9 pounds, probably closer to 3 pounds now. I rigged each light with a 11 foot extension cord for the power cord, so I can place them as I please.

Finals for the next two days and Im out for 3 months of stickin fish. Ive already gota trip lined up for shooting the Gulf down near Gulf Shores,AL in June for rays, sheephead, and probably give a stab at chumming in sharks.

Sounds great.

Wow, each light's weight cut down from 9# to 3# ?!
Hope you didn't mess too much with their ability to safely dissipate heat.

Can't wait to see.
Is this your first boat ?

Haven't officially weighed it...I'm sure my numbers are exxagerated. If anything it will help remove heat. All I have effectively done is remove the capacitor, ballast, and ignitor from inside the fixtures and rewired them into a toolbox. The toolbox now carries most of the weight of the lights.

4th boat.
First was an Uncle Buck 8ft plastic pontoon type boat. More like a float in some ways.
We then graduated to a 15ft John for about 5 or 6 years. I stripped it down and built it back up last year with new flooring, rhinolined, and every inch in Max-4camo. Set it up for duck hunting and resold it for nearly twice the money I had in it.
Put that money towards this 2072 Tank we have now. This was setup for saltwater fishing, as we bought it in Fla. Also rhinolined.
This past week I bought a second boat. A small 1236 of my Grandpas for 350 bucks. I used it alot last summer, and someone was going to buy it off of him...I couldnt let that go for 350 dollars, so I bought it from him instead. It works good for backwaters and creek/small river float trips.

Ill go take some pics now.

Ok here goes. 2072 SeaArk with Center Console.

Aluminum panels put in for siding and flooring, everything rhinolined.

90 hp Merc with 24 gallon fuel capacity.

101 lb 36v MinnKota Riptide troller, which eats batteries.[:@]

Center Console is nice, but takes up too much room IMO. If I was to start from scratch, I would do away with it. But this boat is too nice to strip down and start over.

Now for the lights. I cut up old 16 gauge extension cords and used 11 ft sections for the wires coming from the fixtures. Two wires are all that leaves from the bulb...and they are insulated which is a plus.

The remote ballast box complete with 3 light switches to fire the lights up in sequence. 3 trailer plug leads are all the need to be plugged into to connect to the 6 lights.

Now for the maze of wires. If anyone is thinking of doing this, don't be intimidated. You wire this in 6 identical circuits. When broken down it is a really simple process to wire. All credit goes to Desperado, his is identical and he helped me through the process.

So are you going to let me fish out of the front of the boat? Either or man, I'm not picky.
