Northern Michigan bowfishing

Does anyone bowfish in northern lower michigan, i'm in the rogers city area, and i'm having a real hard time finding spots to fish, and anyone to fish with. So is anyone in this area

There used to be a club, the Bowfishing Assoc. of Michigan, but I don't know if it still exists.
