The more difficult question would be "Where can I not bowfish in southern IL?" Bunches of good water down there. Rend, Crab Orchard, Horseshoe, Mermet, Ohio River, Kaskaskia, Lower Wabash, Forbes, etc etc

Chase, maybe a better place to ask about southern IL would be Southern Illinois Outdoors. http://www.siloutdoors.com

Or just ask Jeremy Leu.

I did this a while back and although it is a year or so out of date, the info is still good.

This is great Dr. Rob. I was wanting to do this some time ago, but I lost the booklet I had with all the info. I think this would be a great sticky up top, don't you think? Christine?

Rob sent me this and so did Todd Mendenhall. The problem is that the list is not complete (it would a lot of work and headache to make a complete list) Also, the info is changing all the time.

For instance... Tilton Lake is now hook and line ONLY. You can bowfish on Lake Springfield.. etc. Evergreen has a bowfishing season as do many others.

You're right in that it may not be exact but it is well over 90% accurate and complete and so easy to update. I think it makes a great starting point.
