Air Boats and Fan Boats

If a lake restricts air boats, does that include fan boats also? Do they fall into the same category? How many lakes in Illinois restrict air boats?

At this time I don't think there are any lakes that specificly restrict airboats. There are limits on HP and noise that effectively restrict airboats.
There was a bill introduced that would restrict airboats by name on lakes over 24,000 acres. We were told that it is not moving. BTW that little piece of work was drafted by the guy who will take over the Illinois DNR.
