I live just north of madison wisconsin, and the marsh/creeks we usually bowfish in the summer are obviously frozen over right now. I have seen pics of guys bowfishing on ice/through the ice and i am wondering has anybody ever done that, and if so how do i go about doing it. Should i just use my auger and drill a big hole outta the ice and hope theres some carp? or do i just gotta wait until freeze out?
joey
hey I am real close to you, one hour north exactly.and have wondered the same thing. one time while ice fishing I had at least 100 carp swim past my hole I was looking down, I have never seen that since.

If you shoot through a hole in the ice it cant be more then 12inches sq or dia. I cant remember which one it is. Another good dnr law but i have no ideal about actually shooting them through the ice how it would work...
