I shoot an Oneida soI can easily snap shoot without coming to full draw, the bow is actually a inch longer in draw length than my hunting bow. So, it's not super important to have the same draw length. Having said that, I would recommend getting the same length if possible. Otherwise it messes with your anchor point when you get back to hunting.

I use to shoot a youth compound and it was about 2 inches shorter than my hunting bow I have. I don't use the same kind of ancor when I shoot fish and I love the way I have it set up for the instinctive shooting. I draw and my ancor is below my chin (the string does not come to my face) and I cant the bow shooting instinctive with no sights, no rest or anything. This year we are shoot the browning barracudas which has no set draw length and will fit anyone and I will work great for me because I can shoot it just like my old bow. Another thing about them is they are light, small, and shoot with alot of penetration at low poundages like 35-40lbs. They are awsome little bows and will fit anyone. WCL
