The days are going by and the wood barge continues to sit untouched. So we'll be defending our undefeated title this year in a Sylvan Basshawk Mod V. It's 16'10" by 48" and 72" between the rails. It's stripped down and needs flooring and a platform. I didn't have my camera when I brought it home last night. I'll get some pics eventually. Anyone have some interesting ideas for a platform? Bowman is thinking PVC, I'm thinking an exotic wood setup keeping with our Carp-Enders theme, I have plenty of steel to do it, I'm resisting aluminum because I'd have to buy it all and I don't have a spool gun for my welder yet.
I think Teak would be a good start with Cocabolo spindles for the railing, some Cypress appointments, brass hardware and lamps. Oak box for your generator with Birdseye Maple raised panels. Oak stairs up to the front deck.Inlaid purpleheart for the registration numbers. Nothing less would do for team "Carp-Enders"
Make sure it's ready for the Bill Davis Memorial shoot.
