2006 World Koi Carp Classic results

Hello all,
Early in November the New Zealand bowhunters society held another very successful World Koi Carp Classic bowfishing tournament. There were 79 entries with 2964 koi carp shot with a total weight of 6290.30Kg brought ashore. The heaviest koi carp shot was 9.38Kg and the lightest koi carp shot was a mere 0.20Kg. The heaviest other fish from the Waikato catchment was a 3.10Kg Mullet and the heaviest White carp was 7.40Kg. This tournament is for teams of 2 and the winning duo put in a huge effort to shoot just over 500 koi for the weekend with a new record total of 869Kg. This is a fantastic tournament where everyone goes home with a prize and a world champ crowned aswell. If you are looking for a great bowfishing tournament with a great bunch of folks and you have the time and budget to get here then i thoroughly recommend the trip, you wont be dissappointed.
