Default GREAT SUMMER!

ok well this summer i worked at a sportsmansclub/hunt club and so i never was able to go on a comp. so im finally back on and i have to say i had a great summer of carp shooting. the guys i worked with have a giant boat set up with the deck and lights and all that great stuff. we shot in all kinds of tournaments(sp?). we had a blast. i learned so much about shooting and im now a better shooter. but the greatest highlight of my summer was shooting the biggest fish i had ever seen. a 41 pound carp!! my buddy had told me that if i shot it in the spring during spawnit could have made michigans state record. i dont have a pic right now, but as soon as i can get one ill post a pic. well i thought i'd share that with you

Very cool.
41 pounds is a very nice sized fish.
You have every right to be proud, record or not.

By the way, why would it only count for a record in the spring?
They can be caught all year around, so why not keep records for all year around? Any idea?

Because he was saying it would weigh more before it spawned. After they spawn they lose weight.

I just got back from fishing in South Texas for Redfish and there were cow nosed rays everywhere. I wished I had my bow with me. I could of shot allwe wanted. We ended up catching one on a rod and it really put up a fight.
