Default BOWFISHING LINE

I'VE GOT A QUESTION TO TOSS OUT, DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY TROUBLE USING MUZZY 200 LB LINE ON THEIR AMS REELS? I'M THINKING OF SWITCHING LINES. THANX FOR THE INPUT.

The first question is what problem are you having. I use it for carp, but use 400lb Fast Flite for rays, sharks and gar. Make sure you have enough line. Use the full spool in the small bottle, aslo if you hunt with your bow pointed down make sure you tilt the reel up now and then and tap on the bottle a few times, so the line is not all bunched up at the stripper guide.

I SHOULD HAVE REPHRASED THE QUESTION THAT I WAS THINKING OF SWITCHING TO MUZZY LINE FROM THE LINE THAT COMES WITH THE REEL. MY LINE HAS BEEN GETTING FRAYED UP FROM SHOOTING GAR AND I AM LOOKING FOR SOMETHING NEW. THANX FOR THE INFO.

The 135lb dacron that comes with the AMS is junk. By all means switch to the Muzzy. Any dacron, and even fast flite will fray with gar. I put a small piece of 1/4 rubber fuel line between the head and slide. It will slide down the shaft and keep you from shooting through the fish.
