Default How can I find the laws on bow fishing SHARK in NJ

Just wondering if you could bowfish them like they do down south

George, I scanned one of the reg links above and found the section on spear fishing. It did mention several species of shark that were not allowed to be taken.

Also, itrefered tospearfishing as having the shooter be completely submerged in the water. I don't know why that would make a difference, but it did not clearly mention bowfishing or spearing from the surface.

I didn't read it all, very little in fact, but you may want to call the DNR office and talk to somebody. Hopefully they will not only know the answer to your shark question, but tell you where you can find it in black adn white. Come to think of it, you may want to get confirmation by email if the text is vague.
