howdy again i dont know why i didnt go turkey huntin maybe i been havin to much fun stickin fish .but i went for a few hours today i wouldve stayed longer i had to be home to get kids out of school ( bummer ) but i did manage to stick some longnose gar on a different lake today .i was able to get 17 gar no carp didnt see none of them i never bowfished this lake was just out there basically lookin for places .the biggest went about 15 lbs or so .but they all averaged around 10 lbs not bad for a few hours of fishin .now i need to decide to stay on that lake or the other i fished or try some river fishin next time tough decision i thinks its about time for the sucker run .

i'm havin a blast shootin .i just dont wether to give up turkey huntin and bowfish all thru the summer .

Well, you can turkey hunt now and bowfish the rest of the year... but I hear you. I have a turkey tag for IL, but I haven't taken the time to find a place to actually hunt them. Oops.. guess I'll have to shoot more carp.

I've never been to SC, but I hear it's very nice.

The scenery has to be more interesting than here in Central Illnois.

christine thats why i said it .lol . sc is a beautiful state i live near the mountains and hunt them some .i love it here just and i think u like it here for a visit . we have great huntin and fishin here just not huge deer like ill does .

o yeah meant to say i'm goin turkey huntin in the mornin before it gets to hot and then puttin the boat and goin after more gar and carp .i plan on takin my biggest gar or carp tommorow i wish do .

Well, if I can find/buy/sweet talk my way into a good deer hunting spot in IL, I'll trade you trips.

There certainly are some big deer in IL, but I manage to only shoot dinks and does. (but the does are pretty big)

I can miss a big buck like nobody's business... Though one day I'm going to actually bag a big buck. When it happens it will be a big suprise to both me and the buck.
