Agains the law,

[*]NEW LAW: It is against the law to discharge a firearm or shoot an arrow in or on the bed or bank of a navigable stream in DIMMIT, EDWARDS, FRIO, KENEDY, LLANO, MAVERICK, REAL, UVALDE, or ZAVALA counties, or discharge or shoot an arrow that could physically contact the bed or bank of a navigable stream in these counties. This law does not apply to shotguns loaded with shot, including buckshot. A shotgun slug is prohibited.

The way I see it is they want you to use shotguns not bows and arrows to kill the fish

But that does suck major, I'd talk to DNR if I was you.

Yes,they let us hunt with Shut guns on these rivers,in these counties,its fun,but i love to bowfish,now we cannot,There has to be some way to fight them River land owners,they are the ones that pushed for this law,

Oh, that sucks!
Sorry to hear it.

Hopefully bowfishers down there are the majority and might be able to get it overturned.

Could a National BF organization possibley help?
Are there harmful, invasive species in those waters that may present the arguement for continued control of them?
