Default Cheap bowfising crossbow (advice needed plz!)

I ran across this rigthe other day on E-bay and even though I have a compound bow rigged up for bowfishing, I was wondering if anybody has had any expierience using crossbbowssimilar to this. It looks cool but I'm worried about the arrows being plastic and the barbs bending out on them. Its a 100# pull with 80# monofilament it looks like it would work for grass carp but I want to make sure before I invest in it. any opinions would be nice thanks!

A 100#er is plenty for most fish , as long as you don't try to reel Moby Dick in with it then it should make a nice additon to your fishing gear . Aluminum bolts are readily available for crossbows . Here's just one place you can get them: Aluminum bolts

190 ,Were did you see this thing. Don't use the scope you'll never see the fish, remember you have to shoot below the fish to nail them. Rich

Well thats the biggest waste of money I've ever invested in... I'm not allowed to speak the persons name but I got this from ebay, ANYWAYS the strings that run from the stock to the bow broke first, But before that I just shot ata 2 liter bottle filled with water with the fishing arrows and the arrow just pulled right out, sorry penetration and the line reminds me of dental floss, so watch out for scams like this so you dont end up like me. ohh yea I never even got to take it out on the water, and the last thing, that the only thing that seperates this and the $20.00 ones in magazines is the extra $30.00

Sorry to hear that it didn't work out.

Can you still plink with the thing, or is it now useless?
