Flintlock kit
Hey all,
I'm thinking of building a flintlock, from the 1770-1780 period. Where can I can the best kit for the money. Not looking for a custom $1000 rifle but something in the $550 range, a :45 cal, and not a CVA. Thanks |
RE: Flintlock kit
I would check out Pecatonica River. Pecatonica River
I built this Virginia .62/20ga. Virginia Smooth Bore for spring gobbler hunting and got all the parts from them. I think you can get real close to the price you listed. They have a lot more kits than listed on the web site. |

Tennessee Valley Muzzleloading
You might want to contact them. They have a number of kits that are almost complete. Just some fitting is needed and of course you have to finish the stock and hardware. I think they run around $500.00 but give them an e-mail. They use excellent quality parts.... They also have a great selection of styles for you. |
RE: Flintlock kit
Maybe a bit more expensive, but check out Jim Chamber's line of kits and parts. I built a Pennsylvania fowler from one of his kits, very pleased with it.[link]http://www.flintlocks.com[/link]
