well i'm done with it....it's a .50 T/C hawken flintlock

That's a beautiful stock.Did you do it yourself or did you buy it finished? Either way it a keeper.

it was from Pecatonica River Long Rifle Supply, Inc....it is the grade 4 curly maple with 90% + curl to it....just had to fit my parts to it from my T/C stock with some cutting and trimming to fit them....stained it with red mahogany and put about 6 coats of tru-oil on it to bring out the grain..................................bob

Bob you did a great job on it. I love that curly maple.A good friend built me a BP rifle back in 1974.He used Cherry for the stock.It's a work of art,he made the stock from scratch.Used a 45 cal Douglas Premium barrel.A CVA Lock, Triggers and trigger guard not sure who made them. Everything else he made by hand.

Bob, I have seriously considerd buying a Pecatonica River stock for my Green Mountain round ball barrel, and I was wondering if you cut the butt to adjust the length of pull. I am aware that they leave it long, and I was wondering how you did it.

made a jig to hold it plum and level and used my friends band saw....i cut just outside the line so i can work with it to fit the buttplate to it....................................bob
